A Cosmic New Year's Was Had By All!

Posted on: January 12, 2009

Dark Star Orchestra rang in 2009 in ‘Cosmic’ fashion recreating the show from the closing of Winterland in 1978. In addition to performing the complete original set-list the band was joined on stage by the extended DSO family for ‘Drums’ and a special guest Chris Colvin on harmonica for ”I Need A Miracle”, “Not Fade Away” and “Around & Around”. The recreation was complete with Father Time flying over and onto the stage at the
stroke of midnight on a 7 foot joint. As he landed balloons dropped and 2009 was born with DSO launching
into an epic “Dark Star” to start the third set.

Everyone here on ‘Team Dark Star’ would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans out there for their continuing support that has kept DSO on the road for the last 11 years with many more to come!
